Bahama Breeze by Brittney Lang

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

The hot balmy air caressed my skin. The salty tang in the air tasted like home on my tongue. The sun beat down her waves, coaxing sweat to dribble down my chin. The other passengers had a different way to them. Some sped by the dock down to gift shops, stands, and other touristy attractions. I could see some of the delightful people holding maps with furrowed brows as they tried to determine where they would go first. The sea called me on the wing of a seagull. I raced to follow the call to where I found the ocean. This beach was highly populated, but I didn't care. All I knew at that instant, was that I was home. Home in the sea, home at the beach. One day, I will have a home by the sea.
